Frequently Asked Questions about HCI One
1. What is HCI One?
HCI One is more than just an EHR. HCI One is HCI's new, multidisciplinary platform for paramedics. It combines the power and experience of all our existing EHRs (FysioRoadmap, SpotOnMedics, Incura, Evry, Abakus, Podofile, Edevop and FysioLogic) together in one future-oriented platform.
HCI One is designed to simplify the work of paramedical care providers: less administration, more overview, more time for the patient.
2. Who is HCI One for?
HCI One is designed for all paramedical care providers: from physiotherapists and exercise therapists to speech therapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians. The platform supports both independent practitioners and multidisciplinary practices and chains. Everyone works in the same user-friendly environment, with room for specific functionalities per discipline or area of expertise.
3. Who or what is HCI?
HCI is a Dutch software company specializing in healthcare solutions. We have been supporting healthcare professionals in their work for years. HCI encompasses several well-known companies, such as FysioRoadmap, SpotOnMedics, Incura, Evry, Abakus, Podofile, Edevop, and FysioLogic. Each of these systems focuses on a specific discipline within paramedics.
With HCI One, we build on that experience: a single, modern, multidisciplinary EHR that combines the strengths of all these solutions and simplifies collaboration within paramedical care.
4. Why is HCI now introducing HCI One?
Healthcare is changing rapidly. Regional and multidisciplinary collaboration is becoming increasingly common, and digital demands (and opportunities like AI) are increasing. With HCI One, we're combining our knowledge, technology, and development capacity so we can innovate faster and better support healthcare providers, both now and in the future. With the combined power of all our EHRs, we ensure you're ready for the changes in healthcare.
5. What are the key benefits of HCI One?
HCI One combines the best functionalities of all our existing EHRs (such as FysioRoadmap, SpotOnMedics, Incura en Evry) in a single, future-oriented platform. HCI One is being built in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
This makes your work easier, more organized, and more efficient. You work in a single environment for administration, record keeping, planning, and communication. Smart workflows, supported by AI, take care of repetitive tasks, leaving you more time for what truly matters: caring for your patients.
With years of experience and a product/development team of more than 40 colleagues, we can rapidly develop and continuously add new, valuable functionalities to HCI One.
6. Is HCI One a completely new system?
Yes and no. HCI One is built on the foundation of the modern (web-based) FysioRoadmap, with the addition of the best features from our other EHRs.
We incorporate the best of each system, making onboarding a familiar experience. The innovation team ensures the clear interface continues to evolve, offering all the benefits of a modern and scalable foundation already used by hundreds of practices.
7. What does HCI One mean for current users of FysioRoadmap, SpotOnMedics, Incura of Evry?
For users, nothing will change for now, but you'll be informed in the coming period about what HCI One can do for you, at your chosen time. In the coming months, we'd like to keep you informed about our plans through webinars, presentations, user groups, surveys, and more.
For now, everyone will continue to work with their trusted system, with full support. Once HCI One fully meets the needs of a specific discipline or professional group, practices can choose when they want to start using it. We'll guide you through this process step by step.
8. Am I required to switch to HCI One?
At HCI, we believe it's important that practices decide for themselves when they'll start using HCI One. This happens in phases and through consultation, ensuring peace of mind and trust. No pressure, no deadlines. We grow together, at a pace that suits your practice.
9. How secure is HCI One?
Data security is a top priority at HCI. HCI One is developed according to the strictest standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, and NEN7510) and runs in secure Dutch data centers. All data is encrypted for storage and processing. This allows healthcare providers to work with peace of mind, knowing that privacy, security, and backups are well-managed.
10. How is HCI One developed?
Building on our extensive experience with various EHRs, we're developing HCI One together with healthcare professionals to create the software your practice needs for the future. Through user panels, pilots, and our community, practices actively contribute ideas for new features and improvements. This feedback informs our development direction.
Together with over 40 product and development colleagues from our various EHRs, we convert that feedback into valuable elements of HCI One.
This creates a platform that is not conceived behind a desk, but shaped in practice.
11. When will HCI One be available?
The HCI One rollout will be implemented gradually by discipline. The platform is already available for physiotherapy, and we are continuously adding new functionality. Other disciplines and professional groups, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians, will follow. Existing clients will be notified well in advance when HCI One is available for their practice.
12. What happens to my current data if I start using HCI One?
Data is stored securely and carefully transferred once you start using HCI One. Our consultants will guide you through this process, ensuring nothing is lost and you can quickly resume your work. This is always done with clear explanations and appropriate support.
13. Will the current EPDs continue to be maintained?
We will continue to support existing EHRs as long as technically feasible. Legal updates, maintenance, and security adjustments will continue. This ensures complete continuity for customers, even if they are not (yet) using HCI One.
14. What is HCI's future vision with HCI One?
