Amsterdam, August 26, 2024 – SpotOnMedics, supplier of EPD software for physiotherapists, will continue under the umbrella of Health Cloud Initiative (HCI). HCI, a fast-growing supplier of healthcare provider software in various disciplines, has acquired the shares of SpotOnMedics from VvAA. With this, HCI acquires a leading position in the software market for physiotherapy. This joining of forces enables both companies to better respond to the rapidly changing healthcare market and to contribute to a higher quality of care.
SpotOnMedics, founded in 2011, offers an all-in-one platform that allows physiotherapists to efficiently manage their practice processes from one online environment. This results in more time for patient care. After the acquisition, SpotOnMedics will continue to operate independently under the HCI umbrella, with the current team and from the Hoofddorp office. In the long term, the best features of the various HCI solutions will be combined into one powerful platform for paramedics.
HCI offers an integrated portfolio of EHRs, patient environments and e-health solutions for a wide range of healthcare providers and their patients. With the addition of SpotOnMedics, HCI is now the market leader in physiotherapy and supports 1 in 4 paramedics in the Netherlands. In total, 40.000 healthcare providers and 3,5 million clients use HCI solutions daily.
Marc Prette, CEO of HCI, responds enthusiastically: “With SpotOnMedics, we are taking a leading position among physiotherapists. By combining the strengths of the various HCI solutions, the best software becomes available to an even larger group of professionals and clients. This allows us to make an even greater impact in making healthcare easier and better. I look forward to working with the SpotOnMedics team to continue realizing this ambition.”
Geert van den Enden, director of SpotOnMedics, shares his enthusiasm: “New laws and regulations and new forms of cooperation around the client continuously place new demands on software and innovation. With HCI as a partner, we can accelerate our innovations and serve the paramedical market even better. We are proud to be part of the 'HCI family' and look forward to the collaboration!”
Miranda Hendriks, CFRO VvAA, emphasizes: “We are pleased to have concluded this agreement with HCI. This will enable them to take an even stronger position in the healthcare sector. We are confident that HCI will offer the continuity that SpotOnMedics’ customers and employees deserve. Because SpotOnMedics is a software company at its core, there was less synergy with our products and services. That is why we decided to sell SpotOnMedics. We look back on a pleasant collaboration in recent years.
