Amsterdam, July 4, 2024 - The leading e-health platform Embloom will continue under the umbrella of Health Cloud Initiative (HCI). Both parties have been working together for some time and by joining forces they can accelerate the innovation of their joint offering and better respond to the rapidly growing demand for hybrid and digital care to ensure the accessibility and quality of care in the Netherlands.
Embloom offers a wide range of questionnaires and digital treatment modules and is therefore a leader in Dutch healthcare. With Embloom healthcare providers within mental health care and general practitioner care, among others, can enrich their treatment offering and offer clients more convenience and better quality of care.
HCI has been working with Embloom by integrating the portfolio into HCI's EHR and patient portal software with a reach of 35.000 healthcare providers and 3,5 million healthcare users. By joining forces, the existing connections can be further innovated, allowing healthcare providers and their clients to receive an even better and easier user experience and customized care.
In addition to the integrations with HCI, Embloom also links to a wide range of EHRs from other providers. Embloom will continue to operate independently under its own name as part of the HCI group and will be accessible to customers and partners via the same channels. This will be done from the office in Maastricht with the current team of 35 employees and management. Founder and director Marco Essed will also remain on board and join the board of HCI.
Marc Prette, CEO of HCI, is delighted with the arrival of Embloom: "Of Embloom we are realizing an important step towards a future-proof integrated all-in-one care platform of EPD, patient environment and e-health for both care provider and client. In addition, Embloom as an independent party within our group, we also invest in optimal data exchange with external care systems. In this way, with our joint reach in the market, we can really contribute to our mission for better accessible care.”
Marco Essed, CEO of Embloom, adds: “With HCI we share a large part of our customers, so we are in contact almost daily. When I was asked to become part of HCI, it felt like a logical next step in our collaboration, which will benefit our users greatly. I look forward to continuing to grow and innovate together.”
