Amsterdam, May 26, 2025 – Health Cloud Initiative (HCI), a provider of digital solutions for healthcare, has appointed Robin Dunki Jacobs as Chief Executive Officer effective May 1. He succeeds Marc Prette, who is leaving after two successful years to take on an international role outside the healthcare sector.
Under Marc's leadership, HCI grew into a leading player in the healthcare software market, with more than 250 employees in the Netherlands and Switzerland. "We have achieved a lot in a short time," says Marc. "With Robin, HCI gets a leader who knows the organization well, has an eye for collaboration and is ready for the next phase."
Robin joined HCI in 2024 as Business Unit Director and has been part of the Leadership Team since then. He was responsible for integrating labels, strengthening collaboration and developing a joint strategy. Prior to his role at HCI, Robin led multiple technology companies in healthcare, mobility and financial services.
“I look forward to working with colleagues, customers and partners to further develop our mission: better care, easily arranged,” says Robin. “With technology that really supports, we create more time for healthcare providers and more control and convenience for patients.”
Economies of scale as a driver for innovation
Since its founding in 2021, HCI has brought together several leading solutions in the field of EHRs, patient environments and e-health through a focused buy-and-build strategy. This has created a powerful platform that supports more than 40.000 healthcare providers every day and helps more than 4 million patients to manage their care more easily - in mental health, paramedics and broader primary care.
By combining domain knowledge, technology and best practices, HCI can innovate faster and make solutions widely applicable. This way HCI Mental Health Care now one future-proof platform for mental health care in which the best functions of multiple EPDs are integrated. Existing systems are also gradually being brought together for paramedical care.
The patient platform Uw Zorg Online already connects many people with their GP and pharmacy. By linking this to HCI software for mental health care, physiotherapists, dieticians and other paramedics, a single digital access point is created to almost the entire care network of the patient.
In addition, HCI invests in digital triage, AI solutions and e-health modules, such as the treatment platform of EmbloomThis means that healthcare questions reach the right place more quickly, patients can arrange more things themselves, and healthcare becomes more accessible.
In the coming period, HCI will focus on strengthening its proposition, with a focus on further integration, ease of use and scalable innovation.
