Will you ensure that HCI One can go live this summer and thus relieve the burden on healthcare?
What are you going to do
In this role, you'll ensure the HCI One SaaS platform for paramedics is technically ready to go live and continues to operate reliably for all our paramedic clients. You'll work on software that is directly used in the daily practice of healthcare providers, where stability, security, and maintainability are essential, not afterthoughts.
Our goal is clear: peace of mind, certainty, and quality in the practice of paramedical care. Every technical decision is based on one question: does it contribute to better care for both the caregiver and the patient?
Your work partly determines whether healthcare professionals can do their work without hassle.
- You develop and maintain the HCI One platform in C#/.NET within a mature SaaS environment.
- You ensure security in the software, including authentication, authorization and secure integrations.
- You contribute ideas about architecture, technical choices and improvements needed to go live in a scalable way.
- You work with CI/CD, code reviews and clear standards to maintain high quality.
- You take ownership of parts of the platform and ensure that they are demonstrably ready for production.
Where do you end up?
You'll be joining HCI Paramedie: a growing development team that works hard, is pragmatic, and doesn't take itself too seriously. The team is growing from five to nine people and primarily works on our back-end platform. We value clear agreements, deliver good work, and occasionally laugh at just the right things. Like the question of where Kedeng Kedeng Guus Meeuwis is really talking about. That debate is still ongoing.
The team dynamic is diverse. Extroverted colleagues who bombard each other with stress balls alternate with calmer types who provide structure and overview. It works. One person might come up with an ambitious idea, like a .NET 10 rollout, while another might say: first, get the year's work live. This way, innovation and realism keep each other sharp without blocking each other.
You quickly notice that people look out for each other here. If someone is visibly stuck or frustrated, colleagues will join them without being asked. There's no formal process, just normal teamwork. After work, they sometimes climb together or do something else that has little to do with work, except getting to know each other better.
We have a hybrid work environment (Mondays and Fridays are quiet at the office), but every other Wednesday is HCI lunch day, with sandwiches at the office. Julian is our "foodie" and regularly organizes something tasty. We also have a regular group of people who organize drinks once a month—not mandatory, but it's fun.
HCI Paramedie is part of the Health Cloud Initiative (HCI): a network of over 200 colleagues and 13 healthcare IT brands. Together, we build software that makes healthcare simpler, smarter, and more human. With our all-in-one platform, we support paramedical care organizations by streamlining administrative and financial processes. Less hassle, more control, and more time for clients.
"We're working with serious technology on something that matters. Every line of code has an impact on healthcare."
What we offer you
At HCI – Paramedie, we believe in caring for each other – even within the team. That's why we offer you:
- Salary: €5.000 to €6.500 gross per month based on 40 hours.
- 8% holiday allowance and good pension scheme.
- Hybrid work: at our nice office in Haarlem and 2 days from home.
- 25 vacation days, the option to purchase 10 additional days.
- Travel allowance, home work allowance of €2,35 per day and home work place allowance of €500 every two years.
- Learning & development: Plenty of room to develop yourself, with attention to your professional and personal growth.
- Job satisfaction: collegial team with a passion for care & technology.
- A close-knit, people-oriented team with humor and collegiality
- Healthy coziness: fresh fruit every day, lunch together, and fun team outings.
- Working at the market leader in healthcare IT: 5.000+ healthcare practices, 4+ million end users – impact at scale.
What you bring
You enjoy collaborating with other developers and disciplines and communicate clearly, even when things get technical. You take ownership of your work and feel responsible for what you deliver, from first commit to production. You're open to feedback, eager to continue learning, and passionate about improving software, processes, and yourself. You don't see innovation as a goal in itself, but as a means to improve the platform and make it more secure.
- Extensive experience with C#/.NET in professional, production-oriented environments.
- Experience working in mature development teams with CI/CD, code reviews, and clear development standards.
- Knowledge of or demonstrable experience integrating secure software development. So OWASP is a no-brainer for you, and you understand how to integrate security into every step of the development process: the "shift security left" principle.
- Affinity with SaaS platforms that must be scalable, stable and maintainable.
- Preferably a good command of the Dutch language, but certainly the ability to deal with sometimes typical Dutch healthcare-specific specifications.
For all our positions we require a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), the costs will of course be reimbursed.
