How you contribute
In this broad and varied role (from design to people coaching) you create the conditions for the development team to high-quality software to deliver services that noticeably improve the lives of patients and healthcare professionals. From user-friendly mobile apps (iOS/Android) to our stable e-health platform: you ensure (in consultation with the IT manager) that the right priorities You'll brainstorm on technical solutions and be responsible for design decisions. You'll also ensure quality increases and ensure continuous learning and improvement. You'll work closely with our developers, content department, support, and management team, and foster an open, secure feedback culture that empowers everyone to grow.
What are you going to do
Project & delivery management
- Planning, directing and deliver of software projects; prioritizing the backlog in consultation with product owners.
- Clear progress communication to stakeholders and management.
Team lead & coaching
- Daily support of developers (frontend, backend, iOS/Android) and close collaboration with UX/UI.
- Mentors, encourage constructive feedback and the team dynamics to strengthen.
Technical direction & quality
- Providing direction to architecture and code standards; ensuring review processes.
- Together with QA we ensure a testable, reliable and maintainable product.
Continuous improvement
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in processes and technology; promote modern practices.
What do you bring?
You excel as a coaching leader who empowers colleagues to grow while simultaneously daring to make clear choices. You enjoy collaborating and build trust through clear, transparent communication. You bring strong communication skills to the table, enabling you to establish structured collaborations with Requirements Engineers/QA/Design. You are pragmatic and solution-oriented, maintain a clear overview under pressure, and seamlessly connect with developers, the management team, the content team, and design. You actively seek and provide feedback, translate complex issues into concrete steps, and foster a safe, inclusive team culture where everyone is heard.
Must haves
- HBO/WO level of thinking and experience as a (senior) developer or tech lead.
- Knowledge of backend-development (e.g. Kotlin or PHP) and API integrations/hosting.
- Experience with quality assurance (reviews, QA processes).
- You have a broader orientation than just backend and are willing to learn.
- Experience with people management and stakeholder management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with app development for iOS and Android (native frameworks or cross-platform app development) & UI/UX principles.
- Understanding of legacy code and modern approaches (such as domain-driven design).
About your team
You work in a multidisciplinary IT team with front- and back-end developers, iOS/Android specialists, UX/UI, and requirements engineers. Your team currently consists of two developers, and we expect this to expand further. The collaboration is close, with short lines of communication with other departments and direct contact with Bart (the IT manager) and the management team for direction, guidance, and growth opportunities. Open communication en knowledge sharing are central.
